NATIONALITY:
You are eligible to take the NDA exam if you are an Indian citizen or a subject of Nepal. You can also apply if you are a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia or Vietnam intending to permanently settle in India.
AGE LIMITS, SEC, AND MARITAL STATUS
It is important that you are unmarried in order to apply for the NDA examination. You must be born not earlier than 2nd July 2005 and not later than 1st July 2008.
The Commission only accepts the following documents as proof of date of birth:
- Matriculation or Secondary School Leaving Certificate
- Equivalent certificate recognized by an Indian University
- Certified extract from a University's Register of Matriculates
- Secondary School Examination or equivalent examination certificates (declaration of the written part of the examination only)
Important: No other documents, such as horoscopes, affidavits, birth extracts from Municipal Corporations, or service records, will be accepted for age verification.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Army Wing:
- You must have completed the 12th class under the 10+2 pattern of school education or an equivalent examination conducted by a state education board or university.
Air Force & Naval Wings and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme (Naval Academy):
- You must have completed the 12th class under the 10+2 pattern of school education or an equivalent examination conducted by a state education board or university with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- If you're currently appearing in your 12th-class exams, you can still apply.
However, if you qualify for the SSB interview and haven't received your Matriculation/10+2 certificate yet, you must send self-attested photocopies to the relevant authority by December 24th, 2024. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of your candidature.

- If you already submitted your original Matriculation and 10+2 certificates for verification during the SSB interview, you don't need to resubmit them.
- Original certificates issued by school principals are acceptable if university/board certificates are unavailable. Photocopies or certified copies are not accepted.
- In exceptional cases, the Commission may consider candidates without the stated qualifications if their alternate qualifications are deemed equivalent.

Physical Standard Guidelines For Admission To The National Defence Academy
You must be physically and mentally fit as per the prescribed physical standards. It is possible that you will be rejected during the medical examination. You are therefore advised to examine yourself medically before submitting the application to avoid disappointment at the final stage.
- Stage 1: On the first day at your reporting center, you will undergo a mandatory stage-one test. Only those who clear this stage will proceed to the remaining tests.
- Stage 2: If you qualify for stage one, you must submit original certificates and one photocopy of each of

- 10+2 Pass Certificate (or equivalent proof of education)
- Risk and Responsibility: You participate in the Services Selection Board tests at your own risk. - Minimum Qualifying Marks: To be considered, you must meet the minimum qualifying marks set by the Commission for:

- Officer Potentiality Test (determined by the Services Selection Board)
- Additional Test for Air Force: Candidates aspiring for the Air Force Flying Branch (and all SSB-qualified candidates wishing to join) must additionally qualify for the CPSS (Computer Pilot Selection System) test.
