- The Tier II of the SSC CGL exam will include conducting Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3 in separate shifts and days.
- Paper 1 is compulsory for all the posts.
- Paper 2 will be for only those candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Office (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and Statistical Investigator Grade-II in the office of Registrar General of India (Ministry of Home Affairs) and who are shortlisted in Tier-I of these posts.
- Paper 3 will be only for those candidates who are shortlisted in Tier 1 for Paper 3 i.e. for the posts of Assitant Audit Officer / Assistant Accounts Officer.
- It will be mandatory for you to qualify for all the sections of Paper 1.
- There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section-I, Section-II, and Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I and 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-II and Paper-III.

- General Intelligence and Reasoning: It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal types. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, spatial orientation, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision-making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning, etc.
- General Awareness: Questions in this component will aim at testing your general awareness of the environment around you and its application to society. The questions will also be designed to test your knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in your scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. This test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries, especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Economics, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Scientific Research, etc.
- Quantitative Aptitude: The questions will be designed to test your ability to appropriately use numbers and their sense.
