RRB NTPC Question Paper 2009
In 2009, the RRB NTPC exam was conducted for 120 marks where 120 questions were asked. The total exam duration was for 120 minutes. In 2010, the RRB NTPC exam pattern was changed a bit the exam was conducted for 100 marks for 100 questions and the total exam duration was 90 minutes. The RRB NTPC 2012 exam was conducted on 2 and 9 December of 2012 in more than one shift. In the 2012 NTPC exam paper, 100 questions were asked for 90 minutes exam duration. RRB NTPC CBT 1 Exam Pattern
In RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam a total of 100 questions are asked where the questions are asked from General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning. A total of 90 minutes are given to solve all the MCQ questions in CBT format. The level of questions in CBT 1 has the standard of Class 10, 12, and graduation levels. Note that, other than the PwD candidates accompanied by the scribe, all candidates will be given only 90 minutes to answer the questions. Also, there is a negative marking of ⅓ for every wrong answer.

RRB NTPC CBT 2 Exam Pattern
CBT 1 qualifying candidates appear for the CBT 2 exam where they are given only 90 minutes to answer all the 120 questions asked in CBT 2 exam. However, the duration for PWD candidates is 120 minutes. The questions in the CBT 2 exam are asked from General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning. All the 120 questions have a weightage of 120 marks - one mark for each correct answer; however, for each wrong answer, ⅓ marks will be deducted.

RRB NTPC Question Paper Language and Its Preferences
The RRB NTPC question paper is prepared in a total of 15 languages - Hindi, English, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu. Since it is a nationwide competitive examination, and knowing the regional languages is important, a candidate is given the option to choose a language to appear for the exam. However, the English language is a default and all the candidates have access to the English questions when they are appearing for the exam.
However, note that if a student chooses any language from the options given then, they can access the questions in both languages. English and preferred language.
