    If the number of managers in company A were reduced by 3 and for the compensation of same amount, new technicians were recruited, then find the number of new technicians recruited.
    Solutions
    For company A
    Income of a manager = Rs. 7.5 lakhs
    Income of a technician = Rs. 4.5 lakhs

    The ratio of the number of people in given four designations in company B is 5 : 3 : 2 : 1 respectively. Find the difference between number of managers and number of HODs in company B, if the total annual compensation provided is Rs. 1.22 crores.
    Solutions
    Let the number of people in each designation be 5a, 3a, 2a and a respectively.
    For company B.
    Annual income of a Technician = Rs. 4 lakhs
    Annual income of a Operator = Rs. 5 lakhs
    Annual income of a Manager = Rs. 8 lakhs
    Annual income of a HOD = Rs. 10 lakhs
    Total compensation given by company B = Rs. 122 lakhs
    i.e., 5a × 4 + 3a × 5 + 2a × 8 + a × 10 = 122
    ⇒ 61a = 122
    ⇒ a = 2
    Required Difference = 2a – a = a = 2
    Hence, option A is correct.

    In company C, the total number of operators and technicians were 30. Find the number of operators in company C, if the total amount paid to operators and technicians by company C was Rs. 1.11 crore.
    Solutions
    For company C
    Annual income of a technician = Rs. 3.5 lakhs
    Annual income of a operator = Rs. 4 lakhs
    Let the number of operators be ‘a’
    Number of technicians = 30 – a
    Total income paid to technicians and operators = 1.11 crores = 111 lakhs
    According to the question,
    a × 4 + (30 – a) × 3.5 = 111

    0.5a = 111 – 105
    0.5a = 6
    a = 12
    Hence, option C is correct.
