Memory is recalling past experiences. It is an active physical and mental process. Herman Ebbinghaus was the first scholar who decided to measure memory objectively. According to him, memory is a passive process; it can be reproduced without any change.
According to Jean Piaget, language is a product of cognitive development, which means cognitive development determines language use. Jean Piaget was a thinker, he gave more importance to thoughts. Thoughts give birth to language. Language of a person is based on his cognitive development.
John Locke viewed the child as a tabula rasa- Latin for “blank slate.” According to this idea, children begin as nothing at all; their characters are shaped entirely by experience. He also opposed physical punishment.
