Operant conditioning theory was first investigated by B.F. Skinner. B.F Skinner is famous for his research on operant conditioning. He gave operant conditioning theory, which is also known as ‘R’ Type theory or ‘S=R Type theory”. He studied the behavior of animals, his experiment on rat and pigeons are famous. The principles discovered during the experiment are applicable to the behavior of people also, as discovered by B.F. Skinner. According to him, rewards and punishments control the great majority of human behavior.
