• These nine states are- Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and West Bengal.
• With a total length of coastline of 1214 kms Gujarat occupies maximum coastal length.
• Note that: None of the North East state is a coastal state.
