• Amrita Bazar Patrika is one of the oldest daily newspapers in South Asia and the oldest in Bangladesh. Original published in Bengali script, it evolved into an English format after the vernacular press Act and published from Kolkata and other location such as cuttack, Ranchi and allahabad. It deputed on 28th February 1968, it was started by Sisir Kumar Ghosh and Motilal Ghosh.

• Voice of India newspaper was started by Dadabhai Naoroji in 1883.

• Sudharak was a newspaper in India it was founded in 1888 by Gopal Krishna Gokhale.

• Swadesamitran was a Tamil newspaper that was published from the then Madras City from 1882 to 1985. It was founded by Indian National list Subramanyam iyyer.

• The article 32 provides for the constitutional remedies, Dr Ambedkar called article 32 as the very soul of the constitution. The supreme court under the article of 32 can issue writs only for the enforcement of the fundamental rights and the high courts under the article of 226 can issue writ not only for the enforcement of fundamental rights but also for any other purpose. The five kinds of rates are mentioned in the article 32 and 226 of the Indian Constitution.

• The words Habeas Corpus literally means to bring the body before Court, by this writ the court secure the body of a person who has been imprisoned or detained to be brought before the court to obtain knowledge of reason or grounds for such detention and to do justice. This writ secures the right of personal liberty.

Article 368 specifies the amendment procedure for specified provisions. Parliament can only initiate the amendment procedure. No referendum is required for ratification of the amendment. The last stage is for President Assent but for this case President cannot send it back for re-consideration. The amendment has to be passed by both the Houses of Parliament by special majority separately (and ratified by half of the State Legislatures in some cases). In case of disagreement, there is no condition of joint session.

• Know India Programme (KIP) is a flagship initiative of Ministry of External Affairs for Diaspora engagement which familiarizes Indian-origin youth (18-30 years) with their Indian roots and contemporary India, through a three-week orientation programme organised by the Ministry.

• A maximum of 40 Indian Diaspora youth are selected for each programme and provided full hospitality in India. 90% of the total cost of international airfare is also paid by the Ministry.

• Since 2004, the Ministry has conducted 53 editions of KIP with participation of 1821 Overseas Indian youth. The participants are selected on the basis of nominations recommended by the Indian Missions/Posts abroad.

Moderate inflation in the range of 2-6% is desirable as it results in growth in the economy.

It is prime responsibility of RBI to track and handle inflation, which is a key area of concern in Monetary Policy. Government of India is mainly concerned with the fiscal policy.

The Central Government constitutes the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) through a notification in the Official Gazette. • It is the largest wintering ground for migratory birds on the Indian sub-continent. The lake is home to a number of threatened species of plants and animals.

• In 1981, Chilika Lake was designated the first Indian wetland of international importance under the Ramsar Convention.

• Samarth is a skill development scheme of Union Ministry of Textiles, covering the entire value chain of the textile sector excluding Spinning & Weaving in organized sector.

• Recently, Textiles Ministry has partnered with 16 states for skilling 4 lakh under ‘Samarth’ scheme. About three-fourths of workers in the textiles sector are women.
