If there is an increase of 30 % and 20% candidates from others and Jharkhand in the year 2013 who passed the exam respectively, and the number of total candidates passed PO exam from M.P in 2012 was 660. What would be the approximate total passed candidates from Jharkhand and the others in 2013?
Total passed PO exam = [660/22]*100 = 3000
Passed from others = 1.3*[8/100]*3000 = 312
Passed from Jharkhand = 1.2*[28/100]*3000 = 1008
Total = 1320
If in 2012 total number of fresher’s who passed from M.P was 429, then how many non–fresher candidates passed the exam from Bihar?
Let total students be X ⇒ [22/100]*[15/100]*X = 429 ⇒ X = 13000
Number of non-fresher’s from Bihar = [28/100]*[75/100]*13000 = 2730
If in 2012 the total passed candidates from different states was 15000, then how many non–fresher candidates from U.P passed the examination in 2012?
Passed from UP = [14/100]*15000 = 2100
Non-fresher’s from UP = [(100-18)/100]*2100 = 1722
If total passed candidates from M.P in 2012 was 484. What is ratio between the number of fresher’s from Bihar and that of non–fresher’s from others?
Let the total number of students is y.
Ratio = (28/100)*(25/100)*y : (8/100)*[100-10]*y = 35:36
If the non–fresher candidates from others in 2012 was 288, how many candidates passed the exam from all states of the country?
Let total students be X ⇒ [8/100]*[(100-10)/100]*X = 288 ⇒ X = 4000

The number of votes got by BSP in State C is how much per cent less by that gain in State B? (Assume that all the voters went to vote)
No. of votes by BSP in state B = [40/100]*760 = 304 lakh
No. of votes in state C = [22/100]*650 = 143 lakh

The total number of votes got by SP in all states is
Total no. of votes got by SP = [18/100]*550 + [10/100]*760 + [8/100]*650 = 227 lakh
