    Karan at point P was facing towards South moved straight 2 km (point Q) from there, turned to his right 90º, now his direction is towards west. Now he travelled 2 km (point R). Then, he took a 45º turn to his left, therefore his direction was south west. Again he travelled 1 km (point S). Therefore Karan is in south west region with respect to the starting point
