Educational Qualification (as of 31st December 2024)

  • A graduation degree from a recognized university is required.
  • Final-year students can apply but must provide proof of graduation before joining.
  • Ex-servicemen with specific educational certificates after 15 years of service are eligible.
  • Computer literacy is required for the SBI Clerk role.

Nationality

  • Indian citizens.
  • Candidates from Nepal, Bhutan, or Tibetan refugees who migrated before 1st January 1962, or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) with government-issued eligibility certificates, can apply.

Selection Process

The SBI Clerk selection process consists of:

  1. Preliminary Exam

    • Qualifying stage with 100 questions (1 mark each).
    • Duration: 60 minutes.
  2. Main Exam

    • Objective type with 200 marks.
    • Duration: 2 hours and 40 minutes.
  3. Local Language Test

    • Mandatory for candidates to prove proficiency in the regional language of the state they applied for.

  • Pay Scale: ₹24,050 – ₹64,480 (approx.)
  • Starting Salary: ₹26,730 per month.
