Eligibility Criteria for RRB NTPC 2024

To be eligible for the RRB NTPC 2024 exam, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Posts: Minimum qualification is 12th pass.
  • Graduate Posts: A university degree from a recognized institution is required.

Age Limit (As of 1 January 2025)

  • Undergraduate Posts: 18 to 33 years
  • Graduate Posts: 18 to 36 years

Selection Process for RRB NTPC 2024

The selection process for RRB NTPC Graduate and Undergraduate posts comprises the following stages:

  1. Computer-Based Test (CBT) 1

RRB NTPC 2024 Exam Pattern

  • CBT 1 is the first stage of the RRB NTPC exam and applies to both undergraduate and graduate posts.
  • The exam has three sections: Mathematics: 30 questions, 30 marks- General Intelligence & Reasoning: 30 questions, 30 marks- General Awareness: 40 questions, 40 marks
  • The total time allotted to complete the CBT 1 paper is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • There is a negative marking; one-third of the marks for a question will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

RRB NTPC 2024 Exam Pattern for CBT 2

  • CBT 2 is the second stage of the RRB NTPC exam, and it has a different difficulty level compared to CBT 1.
  • The exam has three sections – Mathematics (35 questions, 35 marks), Reasoning (35 questions, 35 marks), and General Intelligence & General Awareness (50 questions, 50 marks).
  • Similar to CBT 1, candidates have 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete the CBT 2 paper.
  • Negative marking is applicable in CBT 2 as well, with one-third of the marks allotted to a question deducted for incorrect responses.
  • Qualifying CBT 2 is crucial for proceeding to the next stages of the RRB NTPC selection process.

Follow these steps to apply for the RRB NTPC Recruitment 2024.
