Selection Process

  1. Computer-Based Test (CBT):
    • Marks: 85
    • Duration: 2 hours
    • Subjects:
      • Concerned Domain (40 marks)
      • General Awareness (10 marks)
      • Aptitude Test (25 marks)
      • English Language (10 marks)
  2. Interview:

    • Marks: 15
  3. Final Selection: Based on combined CBT and interview performance.

Exam Pattern 2025

  • The ONGC exam will be conducted in computer-based mode.
  • There shall be 85 MCQs from General Awareness, Aptitude Test, English Language and concerned domain.
  • For each correct answer, 1 mark will be rewarded.
  • There will be no negative marking in the CBT test.
  • The duration for completing the test is 2 hours (120 minutes).

Salary

Post Salary
Geologist, Geophysicist, AEE ₹60,000 to ₹1,80,000 (E1)

Apart from the basic salary, employees will receive allowances, including HRA, DA, Provident Fund, Medical Benefits, Leave Encashment, and Post-Retirement Benefits.
