Eligibility Criteria
General Duty (GD)
- Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with Mathematics and Physics at the 10+2 level.
- Diploma holders must have Physics and Mathematics in their curriculum.
- Age Limit:
- Born between July 1, 2000, and June 30, 2004 (inclusive).
Technical Branch
- Educational Qualification:
- Engineering degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Marine, Automotive, Mechatronics, or related disciplines.
- Electrical or Electronics Engineering disciplines are also eligible.
- Age Limit:
- Born between July 1, 2000, and June 30, 2004 (inclusive).
Selection Process
The selection process has five stages:
Stage I: Coast Guard Common Admission Test (CGCAT)
- Online screening test with 100 multiple-choice questions.
- Subjects: English, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General Science, Mathematics, and General Knowledge.
Stage II: Preliminary Selection Board (PSB)
- Includes the Computerized Cognitive Battery Test (CCBT) and Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP&DT).
Stage III: Final Selection Board (FSB)
- Comprises a Psychological Test, Group Task, and Personal Interview.
Stage IV: Medical Examination
- Conducted at the Base Hospital, New Delhi.
Stage V: Induction
- Training at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.
