IBPS Clerk 2024 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the IBPS Clerk Exam 2024, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 20 and 28 years of age. They should have been born between 2 July 1996 and 1 July 2004.

Relaxation of Upper Age Limit

Age relaxation is available for candidates belonging to special categories. The details are as follows:

  • Minimum Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Proof of Qualification: Candidates must possess a valid mark sheet/degree certificate indicating their graduation status.
  • Computer Literacy: Mandatory operating and working knowledge in computer systems. Candidates should have a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language or should have studied Computer/Information Technology as one of the subjects in high school/college/institute.
  • Proficiency in Official Language: Preferable for candidates to be proficient in the official language of the state/UT they are applying for.

Penalty for Wrong Answers

There is a penalty for wrong answers in both the preliminary and main exams. A wrong answer will lead to a penalty of one-fourth of the total mark assigned to that question. No penalty for unanswered questions.

  • Marks obtained in the Preliminary Exam will not be considered for final selection.
  • Candidates must qualify in the Mains Exam for final merit.
  • The aggregate score out of 100 is used for the final merit list.
